We are currently seeking an Operations Supervisor to join our team of leaders in our Lincoln Park, NJ distribution center.

Key Responsibilities

As a vital role charged with the management of both people and processes, the Operations Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing a wide variety of warehousing activities including shipping/receiving and picking/packing. This person will report directly to the Branch Manager.

  • Lead an 18 person team that covers the areas of shipping/receiving, picking/packing, and inventory control
  • Responsible for hiring, training, coaching, planning and assigning daily work, ensuring safety rules and other policies/procedures are adhered to, conducting performance appraisals, addressing performance issues, and resolving problems
  • Meet warehouse operational standards by contributing information to strategic plans and reviews, implementing productivity, quality, and customer-service standards, resolving problems and identifying warehouse system improvements
  • Maintain warehouse by keeping floor space organized, adhere to warehouse design principles, and recommend improvement opportunities
  • Keep equipment operating by enforcing operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, handling preventive maintenance, and calling for repairs
  • Stay up to date with job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
  • Promote and uphold Richelieu’s set of Core Values
  • Occasionally required: sitting, lifting/pushing/carrying items up to or more than 50 pounds
  • Frequently required: standing, walking
  • Continually required: talking or hearing, utilization of visual acuity to operate equipment, read technical information, and/or use a keyboard
  • Perform any other related duties assigned by immediate supervisor

What We Are Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in a similar management position
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Key Performance Indicator (KPI) oriented, well organized
  • Warehouse Management System (WMS) experience
  • Lean Six Sigma background preferred but not a must
