Key Responsibilities

The Color Matcher will be responsible for the mixing, formulating, and application of coatings and tints in order to protect/decorate surfaces using spray guns, pens, or brushes. He/she will also provide warehouse support when required, assisting warehouse management and staff in ensuring our customers receive an exceptional product and service. 

  • Mix, formulate, and apply coatings and tints to sample materials
  • Read job orders and inspect surfaces to determine procedures and materials required
  • Properly clean and prepare surfaces for various coating and tinting jobs
  • Inspect finished product for color accuracy
  • Maintain tools and equipment in proper working order
  • Provide warehouse support when required, assisting with inventory management, shipping/receiving, forklift operation, etc.
  • Sort and organize merchandise so that it can be easily located
  • Keep records of items received and damaged merchandise returned
  • Provide support to customers when needed
  • Work with other members of the distribution team to increase company profitability and overall customer satisfaction
  • Check product against orders for accuracy
  • Ensure all orders leave the facility in a manner consistent with Richelieu Core Values
  • Maintain proficiency in computerized systems and other technologies as required
  • Follow company policies and procedures
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment
  • Required Continually: standing, the utilization of hand and finger dexterity, and the utilization of visual acuity to operate equipment, read technical information, and/or use a keyboard
  • Required Frequently: walking, talking, hearing, climbing, balancing, bending, stooping, kneeling or crawling, lifting/pushing/carrying items up to 50 pounds, working near moving mechanical parts, and working around fumes, airborne particles, or toxic chemicals
  • Hours of operation are Monday - Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm

What We Are Looking For

  • Related experience in a similar position
  • Must be able to, or be willing to learn how to, operate a forklift
  • Capable of standing for long periods of time, with the ability to bend and reach overhead
  • Ability to lift more than 50 lbs.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
  • Excellent driving record, free of violations
  • High school diploma required, 1 or more years of post high school studies preferred
